Crater Community Hospice, a national partner of We Honor Veterans, has met stringent requirements that will help improve the care their team of professionals and volunteers provide to the Veterans they proudly serve. Twenty five percent of those who die every year in the U.S. are Veterans. We Honor Veterans, a national campaign, provides recognition to organizations that demonstrate a systematic commitment to improving care for Veterans. Partners in the campaign integrate into their organization, best practices for providing end-of-life care to Veterans. By recognizing the unique needs of our nation’s Veterans who are facing life-limiting illnesses, Crater Community Hospice is able to accompany and guide Veterans and their families toward a more peaceful ending. In cases where there might be some specific needs related to the Veteran’s  military service, combat experience or other traumatic events, Crater Community Hospice will find tools to help support Veterans and their families.
